Full-Server Recovery
Double-Take Backup has the ability to protect and recover entire Microsoft Windows servers, including the operating system and installed applications. Avoid spending time installing and configuring applications to match the original server, by recovering a hardware independent backup image to either physical or virtual environments.
When recovering to a physical server, the new machine does not need to have identical hardware. Patented system state processing will recover the installed applications and operating system configuration into the existing Windows operating system on the new machine. After merging the system states and rebooting, the recovered server has the network identity, applications, and data of the original production machine.
When recovering to a virtual environment, Double-Take Backup can create a new virtual machine to match the configuration of the original production machine. Double-Take Backup allows you to adjust the number of CPUs, memory, and virtual disk sizes of the new virtual machine to ensure your virtual resources are allocated sensibly. Auto-provisioned virtual recovery is supported on Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESX environments.
